The Grenfell Club, Redcar.

IYC NCS’ers raised £2,200 for the Grenfell Club Redcar. They organised a Race Night (thanks to the Curos Sports & Social Club for the venue) and a Sponsored Fancy Dress Walk. The Grenfell Club started life over forty years ago in a large house in Redcar with about a dozen children attending along with parents and interested people. Members of the Cleveland Society (MENCAP) felt that there was a need somewhere for their children to have a couple of hours recreation on their own. This at the same time would provide parents and carers with some much needed respite. Many of the original children still attend the Grenfell and have seen it grow over the years. Grenfell Video
